A personal profile banner should be 1584 × 396 pixels, a 4:1 shape, saved as a JPG or PNG under 8 MB. A Company Page cover should be 1512 × 256 pixels, as a JPG or PNG of 3 MB or less. The two shapes are different, so a profile banner won’t fit a Page without cropping.

Sizes from LinkedIn Help: “Add or change the cover image on your profile” and “Image specifications for your LinkedIn Pages and Career Pages.” Guides that quote 1128 × 191 px for Pages are out of date.
How do you make a picture fit a LinkedIn banner?
Drop the picture into the checker, then choose Crop to fill to trim it to the 4:1 banner shape, or Fit whole image to keep all of it on a blurred or solid background. Drag it into place and download a JPG at exactly 1584 × 396 px, or 1512 × 256 px for a Page.
Crop to fill suits wide photos such as a skyline or an office. Fit whole image suits logos, portraits and slides that would lose too much in a crop.
Where should text go on a LinkedIn banner?
Put text and logos in the middle and right of the banner. Your profile photo covers the bottom left, about a fifth of the width on desktop and about a third on phones, so anything in the left third may be hidden on mobile.
Turn on Photo overlap in the checker to see both covered areas on your own design, and add your real photo or logo to the preview to check the fit.
Is there a LinkedIn banner template?
